iPod Turns 10 Years Old Today
Ten years ago today, Steve Jobs took the stage and introduced the first iPod.
The portable music player is seen as being largely responsible for Apple's dramatic comeback over the past decade. It also led Apple down the path into the consumer electronics market. While the iPod has diminished in importance over the past few years, Apple's bottom line is now dominated by devices such as the iPhone and iPad.

(Steven Paul Jobs、1955年2月24日 - 2011年10月5日)スティーブ・ウォズニアック、ロン・ウェイン マイク・マークラらと共に、商用パーソナルコンピュータで
世界初の成功を収めたアップル社の共同設立者の一人
アップル退職後、ルーカスフィルムのコンピュータ・アニメーション部門を買収して、ピクサー・アニメーション・スタジオを設立。また、自ら創立したNeXT Computerで、ワークステーション「NeXTcube」と先進的オペレーティングシステム (OS) NEXTSTEPを開発した。
1996年、業績不振に陥っていたアップル社にNeXTを売却することで復帰、1997年には、暫定CEOとなる。

2000年、正式にCEOに就任。
2001年から2003年にかけてMacintoshのOSをNeXTの技術を基盤としたMac OS Xへと
切り替える。
その後はiPod・iPhone・iPadといった一連の製品群を軸に、アップル社の業務範囲を従来のパソコンからデジタル家電とメディア配信事業へと拡大させた。
このため「世界で最も給与の安いCEO」とも呼ばれた。
2006年に、ピクサーをディズニーが買収したことにより、
ディズニーの個人筆頭株主となり、
同社の役員に就任したが、ディズニーからの役員報酬は辞退していた。
2011年10月5日、アップルはジョブズが膵癌により死去したと発表した。享年57(満56歳)
今は スティーブは彼にしか作れなかった会社とを残しました。
